Maxine Hemmings-Gordon AKA GMax is a talented Faith-Based Inspirational Christian songwriter, vocalist, arranger, and producer. With roots in Jamaica, she brings unique cultural perspective to her music, crafting fun and heart-touching songs filled with uplifting lyrics and vibrant beats. A devoted Christian, Maxine is passionate about sharing real-life testimonies through her music, connecting with listeners of all ages and backgrounds. , she is excited in sharing her journey and the inspirations that God has placed in her heart.

Maxine is not only a gifted musician but also a devoted wife to her husband, Gary, who serves as her Executive Producer and Publisher. Gary has been a pillar of support in her music career thus far, recognizing her gifts and anointing from their very first meeting. With his extensive experience in the music industry since the early 1980s, he brings invaluable insight to her work as an Artist.

Maxine’s most recent album was produced in December 2025 and was publicly released in January 2026, the Album showcases a diverse range of genres, embodying her belief in love and harmony, as she embraces the Jamaican motto, “Out of Many, One,” and treats everyone with respect.

Maxine believes that music transcends boundaries and is a universal language that resonates with everyone. It serves as a bridge between reality and our innermost desires, especially when we share songs of praise to God and encourage those around us. Maxine's musical journey is deeply rooted in her childhood experiences in Jamaica, where the sounds of Country music filled her home and Reggae Music filled the communities. With her mother’s collection of popular country albums spinning on their stereo, Maxine discovered her passion for music early on. This rich exposure not only influenced her musical style but also led her to become a beloved DJ, or "Music Selector," at intimate family gatherings & with friends and neighbors. Her love for God, people and music has been a constant thread throughout her life, shaping her sound and artistry.

From a young age, she discovered her passion for poetry and songwriting, expressing herself through the written word. As a teenager, she became the life of the neighborhood, hosting spontaneous house parties that brought friends and neighbors together. With her trusty cassette player connected to her mom's record player, she created a vibrant atmosphere filled with laughter and music, leaving lasting memories in the hearts of those around her.

When asked, what do you want to achieve in the music industry?. She answered by saying:

"In my journey within the music, my goal is simple, to serve as I am being led by God. I aspire to share my heart’s language through uplifting songs of praise, love, and inspiration. Music and dance fill my heart with joy, but nothing brings me more fulfillment than giving God praise , which brings joy to my soul and connecting with people."

When Maxine is being asked, Why just now?, What was the influencing reason to start your music career at this point? She answered the follow:

“ I have been a song writer since I was a child, but never had a great desire to pursue a musical career being on the forefront, I would write musical lyrics and share it with another Artist who would record and perform the songs, but never did it for accolades or compensation, I just enjoyed sharing the gift. I always knew there was something more that I needed to do other than my career, I always enjoyed serving. However, I do acknowledge the fact that God is intentional in all that he does, or allows. I asked the Lord in 2023, what do you want me to do for you now?, what do you want me to do in this dispensation on my life?. First I made a declaration to continue serving, then I received a life changing diagnosis that required me to have an open brain surgery.

During my early recovery, it was made clear to me by devine revelation, that there was a task at hand for me to share my testimonies, I have always done so, but this time it was way different”.

"In this season, I am fully committed to my spiritual journey. What started as a simple desire to record one song transformed into an incredible outpouring of creativity, as I received a supernatural anointing to write, sing, arrange and produce. The songs flowed effortlessly, and I embrace this divine gift wholeheartedly. With immense gratitude, I look forward to sharing the goodness of the Lord in the land the living."

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to my husband, my executive producer, and my partner in life. His unwavering support and belief in my talents have been instrumental in launching my music career. With his extensive experience as an Artist Representative and Music Publisher, he has offered me invaluable guidance when I needed it most. I gleaned from his experience, and I am grateful to share this music journey with him.

I am excited to share this beautiful opportunity to continue praising God and spreading and sharing His message with the world. The beautiful things that God wants the world to know. He love us all so much.

All glory belongs to God. I will continue to praise Him for all He has done for me. Let’s express gratitude by recognizing the gifts surrounding us every day, embracing the life we have, and sharing love with one another.

As of September 20th, 2025, Maxine Hemmings-Gordon has written: Over 20 Songs to be released of which Six (12) were Release on the Stone Faith Debut Album.
